Well I survived my first week of my Co-op!
I met a lot of new people and learned a lot about the structure of Johnson & Johnson's consumer products supply chain.
Throughout the week I went to many presentations which covered organizational overview, BTSI's (Business Team Success Indicators), team information, supply chain organizational overviews, and CORE (Customer Order & Revenue Efficiency) systems, tools and process overview. In these presentations we discussed a few topics that I have already learned about in the classroom at Rider, such as reverse distribution and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
In my free time my mentor Catherine introduced me to a few different programs and tools that I will eventually be using on a daily basis.
In summary, my first week went rather smoothly and mainly consisted of a general overview of the Sales and Logistics company and CORE division I will be working within, roles and responsibilities, and the many many acronyms that J&J uses.
My next post I will discuss what I have learned during my Customer Logistics Specialist Training during my second week at J&J and what i have learned.
Until next time...
